(I actually drew this a little while ago, but didn't want to upload it until I had finished all my art trades. but. I figure I may as well upload it now anyway.)
This is a random character Idea that I have yet again had.
Mainly inspired by an image in my Psychology booklet of Phineas Gage holding the metal pole which had gone right through his head. I thought that it would be kinda cool for a character to have been severely injured or killed by something, and continually carry that object, and said object also caused an extreme change in personality. And It's markings/colours are inspired by when a friend of mine was telling me about an actual stable of Radioactive horses somewhere.
Soyes.
This is some sort of anthro canine, if anything most like a Maned wolf anatomically, and is female. Her markings are Light grey, dark grey, lime and yellow. She has, yes, been killed by a sledgehammer to the left side of her forehead. That's also why that eye is entirely red, her normal eye colour is a lime-y colour, and her right eye looks almost normal. But because of both blood leaking from the wound, and the general shock of the hit the left eye is almost entirely red, bloodshot and damaged, and she can't really see out of that eye, only tell if it's light or dark. Ohandshe'sinsanecouldyouguess? : D
People don't know whether she is a ghost which is fully visible, a zombie, or whatever other undead being you may think of, because no one can't get close enough to her to see. Oratleastseeandlive. c:
Because of the damage to her head she talks slowly and sometimes slurs her words a little, she also stumbles a lot when walking and often will use the sledgehammer to lean on and support herself with. She also has a short temper, and tends to only ever be overly excited or overly angry, which usually have similar results anyway.
Well. Okay. Other than that. I really could do with not keeping her as a character. I was thinking maybe I should sell the design/idea maybe? ButIhavegrownovertattachedtothecharacter. ButIdon'tknowwhatIwoulddowithher.

Art Now. The main things I'm not too happy with are the hand you can see, I realised it looked too big after I had done two layers of shading, and really didn't want to have to go and edit everything. Then also the picture as a whole doesn't feel very finished, but I'm not sure what else to add.
However I am happy because I have learnt 3 or so new arty things in the past few days both with this and while doing my art trades. So I can make the linearts look smoother and neater, I have this new way of shading which I need to practice a bit still, and then something else with transparency and gradients. I also love how the shading in this did turn out, especially on the whole of the back legs.
